Young Indian MPs discuss bilateral ties

Recently the National Security College was pleased to host a delegation of emerging Indian political leaders to discuss the Australia-India bilateral relationship, defence policy and strategic perspectives on the Indo-Pacific region.

L-R: Rory Medcalf, Gaurav Gogoi, Ramesh Chandran, Kavitha Kalvakuntla, Jayant Chaudhary and Pratap Simha

The roundtable, in June, focused on issues such as the Indian public’s engagement and sentiments regards international relations, the effect of trade and economy on foreign policies, the role and character of external powers in the Indian Ocean Region and bilateral relations.

India is one of the priority countries with which the National Security College is deepening its bilateral engagement, in support of wider efforts by ANU and the Australian Government.
