NSC hosts a conversation at the nexus of climate and security

This month, we had the privilege of hosting Kurt Vandenberghe, Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General of Climate Action, for an in-depth discussion on the intersection of climate and security.

The discussion explored:

• the urgent need to enhance climate awareness and literacy
• climate change as a source of conflict and its implications for intelligence
• the role of trade and industrial transformation in climate resilience.
