Regional security in focus at NSC roundtable with Lao delegation
On 1 August, policy experts from the ANU National Security College joined colleagues from across ANU for a roundtable with a delegation from the Lao-Australia Friendship Association, led by Dr Khiane Phansourivong.
The discussion focused on Australia’s national security policy landscape and the broader workings of government. The group also explored regional security concerns and the role of ASEAN in shaping cooperation.
The delegation underscored the value of people-to-people ties – strengthened through this visit and through the connections built by Laotian alumni of ANU.
