This two-day program will help participants understand the critical role of preparedness and resilience in Australia, while exploring the compounding dimensions of the challenges we face.

Climate change and geopolitical instability pose serious threats to Australia’s national resilience. These issues are closely tied to concern about the health of our democracy and the cohesion of our communities.

Participants will develop an appreciation of the policy and legal frameworks linked to security and emergency management and will consider how democratic resilience relates to Australia’s preparedness settings.
