This two-day program explores how Australia can strengthen national resilience and preparedness in an increasingly complex and contested environment.
It examines the concepts of democratic and community resilience, the interdependency of defence and civil preparedness, impacts of global dynamics on supply chain resilience, and the challenges of leading in a context of more frequent disruptions and polycrisis.
Participants will reflect on international case studies that demonstrate how government, industry and community can effectively collaborate to build national resilience and assess how Australia’s crisis and consequence management frameworks can be applied in a future defined by shocks, disruption and polycrisis. They will explore the interface between democratic resilience, institutional trust, and social cohesion and how governments and leaders can build and harness these assets to hold communities together in the face of national disruption.
This program is designed for professionals working in a role that contributes to national preparedness and resilience, and will support an understanding of our strategic environment, preparedness concepts and the key pillars that underpin our national resilience.
