Applications open for National Security College scholarships

Scholarship applications are now open for students seeking to study national security policy at The Australian National University in 2027.

The ANU National Security College offers several scholarship pathways for students undertaking the Master of National Security Policy, supporting students from a range of backgrounds to develop the knowledge and skills needed to understand Australia’s changing national security environment.

The Master of National Security Policy is an in-depth, policy-oriented postgraduate degree that brings together academic expertise and practical perspectives on the challenges shaping Australian and international security.

Scholarships currently open for applications include:

• National Intelligence Community and National Security College Scholarship for Women, covering 100% tuition fee up to 72 units.
• ANU National Security Policy Scholarship, covering 50% tuition fee.
• National Security College Student Excellence Scholarship, valued at $36,000 over 72 units of study ($24,000 per annum).
• National Security College Indigenous Excellence Scholarship, valued at $36,000 over 72 units of study ($24,000 per annum).
• Dr Margot McCarthy Memorial Scholarship for Women in Security, valued at $36,000 over 72 units of study ($24,000 per annum).

Applications for these scholarships opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 30 November 2026.
