Congratulations to Dr James Renwick on Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia appointment

The ANU National Security College would like to warmly congratulate Dr James Renwick AM CSC SC, on his appointment as a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2).

Dr Renwick has been a Distinguished Advisor with NSC since 2023. He is a pioneer in the teaching and practice of national security law. He served as Australia's 3rd Independent National Security Legislation Monitor. Dr Renwick was inducted as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2023 for ‘significant service to the law and to national security’.

Dr Renwick has been a valued and trusted advisor, whose insights and dedication have significantly enriched NSC’s work.

The College would like to wish him well on his appointment and we look forward to continuing our engagement with him in this new capacity.
