Transparency as a strategic tool: NSC hosts Commodore Jay Tarriela of the Philippines Coast Guard

NSC, in partnership with the Australian Naval Institute, was pleased to host CG Commodore Jay Tristan Tarriela of the Philippines Coast Guard for a conversation about maritime security and transparency in the West Philippine Sea.

While in Canberra, Commodore Tarriela also delivered an address at the National Press Club on the Philippines approach to China’s increased aggression, highlighting that transparency is more than just a strategic tool for the nation.
