We are proud to announce the successful launch of the ANU National Security College’s (NSC) national security program for parliamentarians - NS26.

With a record cohort of 30 parliamentary participants, this morning's session at Parliament House marked a significant step in fostering non-partisan, evidence-based dialogue on the important security issues facing Australia today.

In an increasingly complex and dangerous global environment, the strong engagement with NS26 reflects the seriousness with which parliamentarians are approaching Australia’s security challenges.

A sincere thank you to our sponsors, Senator the Hon Penny Wong and the Hon Andrew Hastie MP, and our mentors Senator Raff Ciccone and Zoe McKenzie MP, for their leadership. We were privileged to be joined by an expert panel featuring NSC affiliates Professor Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC, Caroline Millar, Tom Rogers AO, and Peter Tesch.

We look forward to a year of candid and constructive discussions with our nation’s representatives. Insights from the program will also complement the findings of our Community Consultations initiative, helping connect public perspectives with parliamentary dialogue on national security.
