Catherine Bridges

Catherine first joined ANU in June 2018 on secondment from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Her career has included roles in policy development, implementation and advice, legal analysis and advice and stakeholder engagement across several government agencies including the Attorney-General’s Department, Defence and Prime Minister and Cabinet. Catherine has worked on several complex legal reform projects including parliamentary inquiries into national security legislation and amendments to legislation governing national security agencies. Catherine has a long association with the National Security College, including as Cyber Adviser and, over several years, co-designing and delivering cyber policy bootcamps to audiences from across Southeast Asia. Catherine is currently working at NSC on secondment from the University’s Information Security Office, leading the College’s International Capacity Building team.  As the inaugural Head of Governance and Analysis in the Information Security Office, Catherine has grown a team responsible for shaping the University’s risk settings and responses on information security and foreign interference issues.
