Dayle Stanley
Dayle has recently finished her role as the inaugural Chief Futures Officer at the NSC Futures Hub, having joined NSC on secondment in 2021. Her role with NSC now involves a four month Visiting Fellowship with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington DC to complete a Fulbright Scholarship. While in Washington DC, she is working with the Hess Center for New Frontiers, and aims to better understand futures and foresight work in the US and the trends shaping the future of the Indo-Pacific.
She has 20 years of experience in state and federal government including in defence and national security agencies as well as experience in environment and energy policy where she represented government in a range of multilateral fora.
In 2023 she was selected as the Australian representative, along with 12 others from the Indo-Pacific region, to attend the Paris Defence Young Leaders Program - an initiative led by the French Ministry of Armed Forces strategic research agency - Institut de recherche stratégique de l’École militaire (IRSEM).
Dayle holds a Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice & Human Behaviour) from Griffith University, a Master of Social Science (Criminology) from The University of Queensland and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Policing, Intelligence & Counterterrorism from Macquarie University. Dayle has completed the Oxford Scenarios Programme at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University. She is an NSC alumni, having completed the Director-level Executive Development Program in 2019.
