Dr Ariella Helfgott is Director of Foresight & Strategic Learning for the World Energy Council, Program Director Foresight & Decision-making for the One Basin CRC and Director of SA Futures Agency.

Prior to this she was Director of Strategic Foresight in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet for the Government of South Australia. With over 20 years of experience, Dr Helfgott has worked across 26 countries, guiding governments, industries, and communities through complex, multi-actor processes to create sustainable, equitable, and resilient futures. Her previous roles include Director of Scenarios with the World Energy Council, member of the Shell Scenario Team, Senior Fellow at Oxford, Utrecht, Wageningen, and Adelaide Universities, and Strategic Analyst with the Australian Department of Defence.

Dr Helfgott's foresight work is deeply rooted in her belief that the future belongs to everyone. She is passionate about empowering people with the knowledge.
