Jed Buchanan joined the National Security College in August 2024 on secondment from the Facilities & Services Division within the Australian National University where they were the Senior Technical Officer responsible for events, safety and technical equipment at Llewellyn Hall.

Jed’s career has centred around creating emotive live performances and persuasive conversations. From 2014-2019 they were a freelance AV designer and production manager for theatre, comedy and corporate events, helping people use technology to tell their stories. When not working in theatre and live events, Jed has worked in philanthropy helping organisations to connect to their members through values driven communications, and in academia, educating the next generation of great minds in the on political philosophy and international relations.

Jed holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Philosophy from the Australian National University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Management.
