Neha Pauly
Neha joined NSC’s Graduate Program in March 2026. Before joining NSC, she worked as an Electorate Officer for federal and state members of parliament in Queensland, where she undertook policy research and electoral engagement.
She read Human, Social, and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge (Christ’s College), where she won the 2025 John Dunn Prize for the best undergraduate dissertation in the Department of Politics and International Studies. During her time at Cambridge, Neha served as President of the Cambridge Union and spent time researching in South India.
Her research so far has focused on gender and development as well as the role of religion in global processes of political contestation, cooperation, and change. At NSC, Neha is interested in understanding how to better engage local and state governments in national preparedness, and the implications of anti-system politics for national security policymaking.
