On 19 February, NSC welcomed Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), for a high-level discussion on shared strategic interests and challenges.

The conversation explored key regional security dynamics, including:

  • the evolving Australia-US alliance and AUKUS;
  • the current state of strategic competition in the Indo-Pacific; and
  • the role of trilateral and minilateral partnerships, such as the Quad and the US-Australia-Japan trilateral dialogue.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for contributing to a productive and insightful dialogue.
